    Parade day is this weekend, but not all of us are all about the large crowds, lack of parking and hectic running around. However, Syracuse does have the second largest parade in the state, and we should be grateful for this.

    It is looking to be a great weekend, and we’re still holding on to the fair weather. Why not make it a weekend to enjoy all that is good in our city. For those not looking for the obvious, here are some fun events to be aware of.

    Irish Road Bowling

    irish-road-bowlingBowling meets golf in this rolling tournament. Be the team to finish the course with the least amount of tosses.

    Maple Syrup Workshops

    Beaver Lake

    The Sweetest Time Of Year Maple SyrupThere are a couple opportunities to surely stick with you every weekend in March.

    Saturdays: It’s Maple Syrup Time! | 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
    Saturdays: Pancake Breakfast | 9 a.m. – noon | $3-$5
    Sundays: It’s Maple Syrup Time! | 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

    Green Lakes State Park

    Enjoy all that is naturally sweet, and learn a few things.

    12-1 p.m. — Learn about the maple syrup making process
    1-2 p.m. — Tree identification hike and learn of the types of taps
    2-3 p.m. — Maple treats and hot beverages for all!

    A Night at the Opera

    Ginger-Costa-Jackson-Opera-Singer-Mezzo-Soprano-Carmen-Tri-Cities-Opera-Binghamton-New-York-13-690x260Tri-Cities Opera Company will perform in a traditional European style dinner cabaret, continuing the annual event for its fifth year in a row.
