An attentive driver noticed a bright light who knew it would be a UFO.

This event occurred on March 31, 2015 at around 11 p.m. Louise was driving south on Somerstown Turnpike (State Route 100) in Yorktown Heights in Westchester County, NY. Suddenly, out of the corner of her eye, she noticed bright spot in the sky.

“The light was so bright that it literally took my attention and I immediately thought that it must be a UFO,” Louise said.

Rather than make a right turn to head home, she I drove further down Route 100 to get a closer look. As she approached the Muscoot Reservoir, she could see that the bright, glowing object was still there.

“It was just hovering on the left side of the reservoir,” she said.

She described the object as a cross-shaped UFO and that it looking like a giant “plus” sign.

“I’ve never seen a light like (it) before,” Louise said. “It was not blinking, twinkling like a star or like a satellite.”

She drove all the way to State Route 129, where she was just was about to pull over and study the cross-shaped UFO, but it suddenly vanished. She then stopped her car, got out and looked around the sky to view the object again, but to no avail.

Here at New York Skies, we checked the two major UFO databases for additional sightings of this unique cross-shaped UFO, but none were logged.

Let’s look as some other UFO sightings in New York Skies:

Aug. 12, 2015: At 9:30 p.m., a resident of Brantingham, NY, observed several orange glowing rectangles moving along the same flight path.

Aug. 12, 2015: At 10:30 p.m., a resident of Buffalo, NY, saw a craft with two white and green-colored blinking lights. It was lower than a normal jet would be and the rate of travel was quite fast.

Aug. 13, 2015: At 3:30 a.m., Delmar, NY, resident witnessed multiple white orbs of light traveling across the night sky during the Perseid meteor shower.

Aug. 13, 2015: At 9:30 a.m., a Liverpool, NY, resident reported triangle-shaped craft outlined with bright white lights.

Aug. 15, 2015: At 11:00 p.m., a resident of Utica, NY, saw a glowing red-green ball bouncing around the sky at high speeds and maneuvered for 15 minutes.

Aug. 15, 2015: At 11:40 p.m., a resident of Bel, NY, witnessed what first looked like a red dot with orange flames. The object then moved to the left and appeared orange.
