POINTS OF REFERENCE is a music news blog for people with actual lives and/or short attention spans: a weekly selection of topical, pop music talking points fit for bars and break rooms. - Manhattan’s Community Board No. 3 voted down Brooklynite LeRoy McCarthy’s proposal to rename the intersection of Rivington St. and Ludlow St. “Beastie Boys Square.”
- Neil Young and Jack White probably made a covers album.
