At the end of the last presidential administration, efforts to bring about disclosure of the truth regarding Earth’s extraterrestrial presence concluded with a disclosure of sorts. It certainly wasn’t the majestic pronouncement by President Obama that “We are not alone!”
Instead we got a massive release of declassified CIA documents. While many of these documents were interesting and revealing concerning government involvement, most were 50-70 years old. So the grand effort for the current truth about UFOs and the extraterrestrial presence here on Earth continues.
Disclosure Lobbyist of 20 years Steven Bassett of Paradigm Research Group is currently crowd sourcing the funding to keep up the lobby effort toward full disclosure. In addition, new talent has been joining the disclosure struggle.
Two years ago, Russell Calka and Lisa Galarneau began their work with the disclosure lobby and made important contributions to help push the lobbying work forward. Recently, Calka and Galarneau launched their own campaign through a new Facebook group called The Disclosure Activists. They and a growing number of associates have stepped up to the challenge by pursuing another approach in their activism. The Disclosure Activists have joined the fight in concert with the Paradigm Research Group and others. Let’s call this new effort disclosure activism 2.0.
I recently spent an hour with co-founder of The Disclosure Activists Russell Calka. A New York state native, Calka was born in 1985 in Brooklyn, and raised in the village of Suffern in Rockland County.
He told me that when he was 8, he saw both E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial and Close Encounters of the Third Kind and fell in love with the notion of UFOs and extraterrestrials. Later as a pre-teen, his step-grandfather told him about an encounter he’d had in 1953 while stationed at the now-defunct Laredo Air Force base in Texas. His step-grandfather told him that a strange craft appeared out of nowhere, circled their C-137 aircraft and “disappeared in the blink of an eye.”
“When they landed they were debriefed by what we call ‘alphabet city’ (CIA, FBI, etc.) and sworn to secrecy though signed affidavits and threats.” Calka said.
Calka, as a Disclosure Activist, is a firm supporter of the opinion that there is “overwhelming evidence of extraterrestrial intelligence engaging the human race.”
Of course, I asked him to be specific regarding the nature of the evidence. He tersely stated “whistleblower accounts, leaked documents and physical evidence.”
When asked if he could produce a concise list of this evidence, his answer was less than direct. He answered by claiming he had shared such an evidentiary list with a journalist from another newspaper. I politely requested that he send me a copy of the same document. As it turned out, it was material I was familiar with.
I pointed out that there are those in government circles who believe that our society can’t handle the truth about UFOs and the extraterrestrial presence. I asked Calka if humankind is ready for the truth. His answer was simple: “Yes.”
“The Government knows we are ready, they just didn’t know how to release something they kept embargoed for 70 years,” Calka said. When queried if The Disclosure Activists team members were going to become registered lobbyists like Steven Bassett, Calka was insistent that he and his associates are taking a different non-lobby approach.
“We are not registered lobbyists; don’t need to be,” he said. “The fact that I’m just your average Joe makes this story even more compelling. My goal is to let other average Joes know how easy they can stand up as well.”
My hour-long conversation with Calka confirmed to me that he’s a guy who knows his stuff about the topic and that he’s passionate about the mission of bringing about full disclosure by mounting ferment at the grass roots level.
When I asked disclosure lobbyist Steven Bassett his opinion about The Disclosure Activists and Russell Calka, Mr. Bassett had nothing but supportive thoughts, “New millennial blood … All good!”

Feb. 10, 2017: At 6 p.m., a resident of Long Beach reported seeing a great circle of light.
Feb. 13, 2017: At 9:15 p.m., a resident of New York City witnessed a bright green ball that rapidly flew from the direction of the river toward Manhattan.
Feb. 14, 2017: At 6:20 a.m., an resident of Cayuga County witnessed a huge ball of light and an unusually large craft that flew silently toward Skaneateles.
Feb. 21, 2017: At 5 p.m., a married couple in Middletown observed a huge black, triangle-shaped craft hovering on the edges of a cloud.
