South Florida jam band The Heavy Pets will bring their funk-infused reggae rock to Funk ‘N Waffles’ downtown location tonight, April 7, at 9 p.m. with four-piece funk outfit Mister F opening the show. The Heavy Pets officially formed in 2005 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., but the foundation of the group began in the upstate New York town of Goshen, continuing at Syracuse University with guitarist Jeff Lloyd and keyboardist Jim Wuest.
