Central New York is rich with local agriculture, and a short drive in almost any direction from downtown Syracuse usually puts you in the middle of farm country. Jennifer Cox, owner of Crazy Daisies located at 4695 Kasson Road spoke with the Syracuse New Times about recently expanding the business and the many offerings the family farm provides.

    WATCH:

Just a 15 minute drive from downtown Syracuse, Crazy Daisies is open to the public, and is “a local business supporting local businesses” as described by Cox. Visitors will find various foods and gifts carefully curated from throughout New York State to include goat cheese, maple syrup, soaps and various other handmade and regionally produced products.

Greenhouses are full of plants and vegetables with availability depending on the season. Live animals (including chickens, goats and a couple of baby Aberdeen Angus) graze and peck on the side of the new barn while a friendly dog roams the property looking for a pat on the head.

Visitors can book garden parties, schedule flower potting services and the farm offers catering services as well as fresh eggs, beef and pork. Crazy Daisies plans seasonal activities and offerings through the Christmas season.

    Spring hours are:

    Monday – Friday 10am – 6pm

    Saturday 9:30am – 5:30pm

    Sunday 10:30am – 4pm
